HOW RMR WORKS TO BE A GREAT NEIGHBOR
Besides our dedication to our work and teammates, we are also committed to being good neighbors in the communities we serve. As a longtime member of the Newport community and with many employees that call Clifton and adjacent communities home, we strive to be considerate and responsive to our neighbors.
You asked. We listened. We responded!
Changes we’ve implemented based on your feedback over the years:

We limited heavy equipment operations to 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

We added new on-site procedures to avoid incidences of peak operating sounds.

We silenced certain backup alarms during the night, as allowed by OSHA regulations.

We investigated increased truck traffic in Clifton, confirming it was not RMR-related and notifying the responsible companies and the city about approved trucking routes.

We utilized a street sweeping service to keep our shared streets clean and safe.

We increased accountability of our suppliers to ensure that they are meeting the standards set forth in our supplier code of conduct.
We understand the importance of making Newport and Clifton great places to live. Beyond our operations, we try to go the extra mile to help our community. Examples of us giving back to the community include:

Assisting with revitalizing Buena Vista park.​​

Demolishing an outdated and unsafe Newport Public Works/Maintenance garage at no-cost to taxpayers (which has cleared the way for redevelopment and enhanced economic benefit to the community)

Hosting 31 Kentucky fire departments for free ‘Jaws of Life’ emergency response training. ​

Collecting cash donations and holiday gifts for children staying at the Brighton Center.​​
